Extract from Report of Governor of Belfast Prison dated 31st

October, 1895,

Warder Keaney has nearly three years experience of Prison

discipline, is well educated, and generally intelligent. He

did not during the first year of his appointment display the

necessary efficiency, but he has improved latterly, and would

now,

in my opinion, be capable of supervising and training

in sound prison discipline."
